Arashi‘s Ninomiya Kazunari and actress Aya Ueto attended the completion showcase yesterday at Chiba Rehabilitation Center for their NTV’s “24 Hr TV: Love Saves the Earth” drama, titled: “Kuruma isu de boku ha sora wo tobu” (I fly in the sky on a wheelchair). A short preview of the special drama was shown at the exact place where they some scenes for the drama.
The drama was adapted from Taizo Hasegawa‘s non-fiction book “Inochi no Counseling” featured a blond Ninomiya that tells the story of a delinquent who got paralyzed from waist down at 15 years old. Instead of throwing his life away, he decided to become a counselor and helps those who are in the similar situation as him. Aya Ueto plays a woman with a troubling past whom Nino met at the hospital, this is the 1st time in 12 years that the two have worked again.
It was also reported that Nino received some guidance from a woman who has been living on a wheelchair since an accident.
Child-actor Fuku Suzuki is featured in the drama as well.
“Kuruma Isu De Boku Ha Sora Wo Tobu” will premier on Aug 25th, 9:00PM on NTV.
