Last Jan 10th, Arashi‘s Aiba Masaki attended the preview event for his drama “Last Hope” at Omotesando Hills, Tokyo. Set in an advance medical care facility, Aiba plays a doctor, who could hear the patient’s symptoms, by merely listening to the patient’s heartbeat using a stethoscope. In addition, this medical suspense drama also deals with hidden pasts and growth of every physicians.
As Aiba’s first role as a physician, Aiba revealed that he kept the stethoscope hanging around his neck and even listens to heart sounds. Although, Aiba also added that seeing the stethoscope at his home can be very disturbing. Moreover, the production also wanted to make the drama more realistic by adding scenes like conferences and surgeries.
Aiba will be joined by Tabe Mikako, Tanabe Seiichi, Koike Eiko, Takashima Masahiro, Kitamura Yukiya, Kohinata Fumio. Kohinata was all praises for Aiba, “you won’t see him dozing-off even if filming is from morning to midnight”. Aiba got embarrased by Konihata’s praises that he said, “I was too nervous [to sleep]”.
Lastly, Arashi‘s latest single “Calling” was also announced as the theme song for “Last Hope”.
“Last Hope” will premier on Jan 15th, 9PM (JST).
