Big move from a midnight drama to Golden Time. One of the dramas that I look forward this summer, I hope that the ratings will be higher than in season 1.
It was announced that “Nobunaga no Chef” starring Kis-MY-Ft2‘s Tamamori Yuta will broadcast on Golden Time (Thursday, 7:58 to 8:54PM).
The said drama used to be broadcast on a midnight time-slot (11:15-12:15AM) every Friday until Jan 31, 2013. “Nobunaga no Chef” tells the story of a French Chef during Heisei Era who got transported to Warring State Period and became Nobunaga’s personal chef. The historical drama became a hot topic and achieved high ratings averaging at 10.9% with 11.7% as their highest despite the drama’s late time-slot.
Tamamori shared that he’s happy with the drama’s move to primetime but at the same time he’s starting to feel the pressure so he will work harder.
There will also be new additions to the original cast, like: Nozomi Sasaki as the mysterious chef that might have come from Heisei era; Takashima Masanobu as Takeda Shingen, Nobunaga’s enemy; Saito Yuki as Nohime, Nobunaga’s wife; Sasano Takashi as Matsunaga Hisahige, Nobunaga’s retainer; and David Ito as Shibata Katsuie, Nobunaga’s military commander.
The rest of the original cast, are: Oikawa Mitsuhiro, Shida Mirai, Gori, Ashina Sei, Cunning Takeyama, and SMAP‘s Inagaki Goro.
“Nobunaga no Chef” will air this July every Thursday (7:58-8:54 PM, JST).
