Shigeoka Daiki Joins Nishikido Ryo in his New Drama this Fall

Fandom crossover! I think this is the first time that someone from Johnny’s WEST will be working from their senpai Kansai group.

It was announced that Johnny’s WEST Shigeoka Daiki will be joining Kanjani8‘s Nishikido Ryo in TBS’ “Gomen ne Seishun” this October.

In the drama, Nishikido plays a high school teacher from a Buddhist’s all-boys school where there will be an impending “trial event” for the possibility of merger between the boys school and the all-girls school in the area. Shigeoka will be playing one of Nishikido’s students.

This will be the first time that the two will be working together. Shigeoka feels uneasy on working with Nishikido for the first time; nevertheless, he wants to work at his hardest and make a straightforward approach without feint and forget all those uneasiness. Shigeoka also added that he wants to learn more from Nishikido by watching his back.

In a related news, Kanjani8 will be singing the theme song for Nishikido’s drama, titled: “Itta ja nai ka” composed by Mineta Kazunobu. The song will be up-tempo with the melodies in mixture of sadness and nostalgia.

Joining Nishikido and Shigeoka, are: Mitsushima Hikari, Nagayama Kento, Haru, Triendl Reina, Shirasu Jin, Kuroshina Yuina, Morikawa Aoi, Koseki Yuta, Suzuki Takayuki, Yamoto Yuma, Tomiyama Eriko, Hisamatsu Ikumi, Ryusei Ryo, Saito Yuki, Morishita Aiko, Enari Kazuki, Nakamura Shizuka, Hida Yasuhito, Shishido Miwako, Ueki Natto, Sakai Maki, Namase Katsuhisa, Kazama Morio

Gomen ne Seishun” will air this October every Sunday at 21:00 (JST) on TBS.
