After a successful summer 2014 run of HERO 2014, the hit drama will be made into another movie and 1st season’s favorite will be making a comeback.
Fuji TV drama “HERO” that star’s SMAP‘s Kimura Takuya will be made into a movie after 8 years.
HERO tells the story of an unconventional prosecutor named Kuryuu Kohei, who approaches the truth of the matter with innovative perspective. “HERO” was first broadcasted in Fuji TV last 2001 and received an average of 34.3% in audience share. A second season was made after 13 years and it received an average of 21.3% in ratings, which makes it no.1 in commercial drama series. In addition, “HERO” was first made into a movie last 2007 and this is the first time in 8 years that there will be another movie.
In the new HERO movie, Public Prosecutor Kuryuu Kohei investigates an incident involving an embassy of a certain country. The right to criminal investigation involving an embassy or a diplomat is challenged with the “wall of extraterritorially”.
Kimura’s 2nd season heroine, Kitagawa Keiko, will also be in the movie as well as his 1st season’s heroine, Matsu Takako aka Amemiya, will make a comeback.
“HERO” will hit the theaters on July 18th, 2015.
