This spring drama is looking more interesting, I’ve always been interested in mysteries and I’ll definitely watch this!
SMAP‘s Kimura Takuya will be starring in TV Asahi‘s “I’m Home” starting this April. The said drama tells the story of Ieji Hisashi (Kimura) who goes into a coma due to an accident. Upon regaining his consciousness, he finds himself with amnesia and lost the last five years of his memories . He has 10 keys in his possession and he tries to find his lost past while struggling seeing his current wife, Megumi (Ueto Aya), and son as people with masks on their faces. He has also taken a keen interest in his ex-wife, Nozawa Kaori (Mizuno Miki), and he wants to find out why he married and divorced her.
Mizuno last worked with Kimura in the drama “Beautiful Life” (2000) and she joked that it took her 15 years to be promoted from playing his girlfriend’s best friend (in Beautiful Life) to being his ex-wife (I’m Home).
Joining the rest of the cast, are: Nishida Toshiyuki as Ieji’s boss in sales department, Watanabe Ikkei as the company’s director, Arai Hirofumi as the sales department’s ace, Suzuki Kosuke and Mitsuishi Ken as Ieji’s colleagues, Oikawa Mitsuhiro as Ieji’s neuro-surgeon, and Tanaka Kei as Ieji’s son football coach at school.
“I’m Home” is based from Ishizaka Kei‘s original manga and is serialized in “Big Comics Original”.
