Arashi will not be hosting this year’s Kohaku Uta Gassen but they won’t be missed as they will be back home in Johnny’s Countdown.
It was announced that Arashi will be hosting this year’s Johnny’s Countdown that will be shown on Fuji TV. This is the first time in 6 years that Arashi will be hosting Johnny’s Countdown because you know, they are busy with Kohaku. This is also the first time since 2013 that Johnny’s Countdown will be shown live on TV. Among the performances, you can expect a special KinKi Kids medley as the duo will be celebrating their 20th year anniversary next year.
So, if Arashi will be hosting kaukon, does this mean that they will be absent in Kohaku? Not even a performance? I hope not, I love seeing them in Kohaku just like SMAP so I hope that they can still perform in Kohaku and then they can rush to countdown afterwards.
In addition, Arashi’s latest album “Japonism” have been certified by Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for reaching the 1 million mark. This is the 4th time that Arashi was given a “million” certification by RIAJ.
