NEWS to host this year’s NTV’s 24H Television

On the 28th March broadcast of “Jinsei ga Kawaru 1punkan no Fukai Hanashi” (or just Fukaii), it has been announced that the main personality will be NEWS.

The group has hosted the program back in 2009, so this will be their second time hosting the event. Back then, Nishikido Ryo and Yamashita Tomohisa were still in the band.

Here are the comments from the members:

Koyama Keiichiro: I can’t really talk about that big thing called “Love”but, on this year’s 24H Television,we’ll be touching subjects like love, or lifestyles, so I believe that after the program finishes, I would be able to be understand, even just a little bit, what “Love” is. I hope you will enjoy the end of the summer with NEWS!

Kato Shigeaki: For NEWS, this is the second time we’ll be hosting the 24H Television program, but it is the first time for us as four. Though last time we didn’t get to host the program at the Nippon Budokan, this time the opportunity was granted to us. Our dream of standing at the Budokan has finally come true! Since this year’s theme is “Love”, I hope we’ll be able to convey our sincere love to the viewers.

Masuda Takahisa: We’ll do our best to find the form of love that only the NEWS we are today can bring to the viewers, and then create a wholesome and happy TV program for the people involved. We’ll be working really hard to do our best, so please look forward to it! Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!

Tegoshi Yuya: When we were announced as the main personalities of for 24H Television, I was really happy, but at the same time I also felt the pressure and the responsibilities  that comes along the role. But for me, the most important thing would be to enjoy everything, so that when I’ll encounter people, I’ll be able to properly learn their way of thinking, their way of living. And doing so will allow me to properly convey what I’ve learned to the audience with my own words.

This year’s 24h Television’s theme will be “Ai ~ Kore ga Watashi no Ikiru Michi”
