Bits & Pieces 37

I do feel very guilty about not writing or posting anything the past month. And with that being said, I also believe that I should be doing more Bits & Pieces since I won’t need to think much about the format of the post.

Bits & Pieces 36

Hello~ I have regrouped a lot of articles that was kinda left out in my list of articles to translate just to get them off the list, so they are a little bit out of date…?  I hope you don’t mind but I’m updating the list with recent ones. So this might feel a little bit half-assed, but I needed a bit of time sorting out what to translate and what to skip. I still have a hard time figuring it out…

Without further ado, there’s the 36th Edition of Bits & Pieces. Involved parties are: Ikuta Toma, NEWS‘s Tegoshi Yuya & Masuda Takahisa, Arashi‘s Aiba Masaki, KAT-TUN‘s Nakamaru Yuichi, Kis-My-Ft2‘s Miyata Toshiya.

Ueda Tatsuya and Maeda Atsuko as Lovers in New Stage Play

Well, this looks interesting since I’ve never seen Ueda play as a man in a relationship, and it’s more interesting that ex-AKB48 center Maeda Atsuko will be his lover.

It was announced that KAT-TUN‘s Ueda Tatsuya will star in the stage play, “Aoi Hitomi“, to be staged this November. The said play will be written and directed by Iwamatsu Ryo that would depict the suffering of veterans in their family and community after the war. Joining Ueda is Kabuki actor Nakamura Shido II, who will play as a returning soldier, and older brother to Michiru (Maeda) while Ueda will play as Michiru’s lover.

Nakamura is expecting some “chemical reaction” since it’s the first time that he’ll be working with a popular male idol and former ace of a national girl idol group. It’s also the first time for Ueda and Maeda to work together.

Aoi Hitomi” will run from Nov 1st to 26th at Bunkamura Theater Cocoon.

Last Mar 7th, KAT-TUN’s Ueda Tatsuya attended the press conference for TBS’s “Zen sekai kyokugen survival“. For the said show, Ueda has to challenged living for 100 hours in a -50C environment in Artic Circle (Canadian border). Ueda said that [the challenge] was a work where he was prepared to die. In addition, his cameraman suffered a frostbite, a staff collapsed, and looking back, it was such a desperate situation while filming under harsh conditions.

TBS’s “Zen sekai kyokugen survival” is a special show of the network that started July last year. It quickly became popular where four celebrities will challenge the extreme for 100 hours each. Commenting about the challenge, Ueda said that he would freeze if he would just stand, in front of him is nothing but frost, and he has chose to live than not knowing who’s who.
