Assassination Classroom Gets a Movie Sequel

Yamada’s first movie is definitely a HIT!

It was announced that “Ansatsu Kyoshitsu (Assassination Classroom)” will have a movie sequel in 2016. The said announcement was made during the movie’s mega-hit thanks stage greeting at TOHO cinemas in Roppongi Hills. Ansatsu Kyoshitsu stars Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Yamada Ryosuke, it’s his first movie and Arashi‘s Ninomiya Kazunari serves as the voice of Koro-sensei.

The movie reached two million people in attendance last Apr 19th and have earned 25 billion Yen in the box-office. The sequel will have a working title, “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu~Sotsugyo Hen~” that will the theaters in 2016. Yamada is surprised when the sequel announcement was made and commented that the production really loves making surprises.

“Ansatsu Kyoshitsu” also stars Suda Masaki, Yamamoto Maika, Uehara Miku, Hashimoto Kanna, Kang Jiyoung, and Shiina Kippei among others. It tells the story of Class 3-E who are entrusted to kill Koro-sensei before their graduation or before Koro-sensei destroys the earth. It’s also a hit manga and the 2nd season for the anime is already in the works.
