Kanjani8‘s Maruyama Ryuhei will be starring in Fuji TV’s “Yo nimo Kimyo na Monogatari” Spring 2013 SP. The said SP will feature 5 strange stories, one of which will have Maruyama as the lead. Maruyama will play a part time worker in “Sekiyu ga deta” when one day his pee turns to oil.
“It’s an extremely strange story but quite natural for me (laughs). The oil doesn’t really come out as a urine (laughs). I’m happy that I’m allowed to do such unique role while being in Johnny’s. When I received the script, I am pressured but I’m going to exert every effort to portray this role,” Maruyama commented.
Fellow Kanjani8 members also rejoiced for Maruyama’s “Yonimo” segment; Nishikido Ryo sent him an email with a message of encouragement along with Kanjani8 manager’s picture smiling widely and Yasuda Shota treated him for a meal to celebrate his appearance in Fuji TV special.
Kasumi Arimura will join Maruyama on “Sekiyu ga deta” which will air on May 11th at 9:00PM to 11:30PM (JST)
Apart from Maruyama, there will also be 4 other stories, which stars: Shun Oguri (AIR Doctor), Sasaki Nozomi (Noroi Web), Tokui Yoshimi (Kaidan no Hanako), and Dan Rei (Fujimi no Otto). All of them, including Maruyama, marks this year as their debut on “Yo ni mo Kimyo na Monogatari”.
“Yo nimo Kimyo na Monogatari” is part of Fuji TV’s 23 years anniversary celebration since it’s first broadcast, Tamori will serve as the storyteller for 5 “Strange Stories”.
