Koyama Keiichiro Received 10 Vaccinations for his Amazon Trip

On May 23rd, NEWSKoyama Keiichiro attended the press conference for NTV’s “7 Days Challenge TV” as part of the network’s 60th anniversary special program line-up. “7 Days Challenge TV” focuses on various challenges that must be overcome for the children to have a better future.

As part of the program’s aim to “bring smiles to the children”, Koyama’s challenge is to bring a satellite dish to upstream part of Amazon in order to provide internet classes for the kids. The said kids don’t have access to formal schooling due to the distance that they need to travel to reach the nearest school For the said challenge, Koyama traveled a total of 1,000 km to reach the area, a distance which is virtually like running a marathon for “24 hr TV“.

“I’m very determined once I set a goal, for the long journey to Amazon, I had to endure 10 vaccinations,” Koyama shared.

Moreover, Koyama shared an experience that brought smile to his face (when he was a kid), “I sent a postcard to Tokyo Giants in one of their games at Tokyo Dome.” Koyama was also able to see Hideki Matsui, who was still active during that time.

7 Days Challenge TV” will air from June 2nd to 9th.
