It was announced that V6‘s Sakamoto Masayuki, Nagano Hiroshi, and Inohara Yoshihiko will star in a Broadway musical, titled “ON THE TOWN“. This will be the first time in 10 years since “SAY YOU KIDS” that the “20th century/Tonisen” unit will star together in a musical.
“ON THE TOWN” premiered in 1994 during the golden age of Broadway musicals in New York. Music by Leonard Bernstein, “ON THE TOWN” is a story of three American sailors who received permission to disembark in New York City for 24 hrs during wartime 1944. The three men falls in love with one woman and an enchanted romantic comedy unfolds. Sakamoto plays the romanticist Gabey , Nagano as the honest Chip, and Inohara as the joker Ozzie.
“ON THE TOWN” will run from Sept 28th to Oct 14th at Aoyama Theater in Tokyo and from Oct 18th to 19th at Orix Theater in Osaka.
